The Kanguva audio launch on October 26 sparked emotions following actor-director Bose Venkat’s comments on stars’ involvement in politics. During his speech at the event, Venkat requested Suriya to enter politics and took a dig at Vijay. Venkat, who recently directed Sir, shared, “A superstar should lead his fans, like Suriya does with his beloved fans.”

What started as a quiet reflection on Suriya’s relationship with his fans soon took an interesting turn. Bose Venkat commented, “Guide your fans towards righteousness. Encourage them to be charitable, respect others, live a fulfilling life and provide them with the education and wisdom to differentiate between right and wrong. Only after that should one consider entering politics.

His statement notably comes a day before the inaugural public rally of actor-politician Vijay’s party, Tamika’s Vetri Kazhagam.

Bose Venkat attempted to soften the reactions by saying that leaders could emerge from any background. However, he immediately referred to Vijay in his speech and said, “A leader cannot be born by considering his fans as fools. Educate them and encourage them to read. Surya sir, you should consider entering politics.

A section of fans were not happy with Venkat’s speech, especially as the much-awaited first meeting of Vijay’s party approaches.
