Suriya on visiting Mumbai with family: Jyotika gets a chance to spend time with her parents
Actor Suriya, in a recent interview, talked about his decision to relocate to Mumbai with Jyotika and their children. He said that Jyotika is now getting a chance to spend time with her parents and friends.

Tamil actor Suriya, in a recent interview, opened up about his decision to relocate to Mumbai with his actor-wife Jyotika and their children, Dia and Dev. talking to Hollywood Reporter IndiaSuriya said that Jyothika lived in Chennai for almost 27 years and she now needs to spend time with her parents, friends and enjoy financial freedom. He also revealed how he balances his time between Mumbai and Chennai.
When asked if he moved to Mumbai for his wife, Surya said, “I am very open. She moved to Chennai at the age of 18-19. She lived in Chennai for almost 27 years and lived in Mumbai for only 18 years. Surya told that Jyotika is now happy spending time in Mumbai. “She’s happy to be spending time with her parents after 27 years. Whatever a man needs, a woman needs the same. I guess I’m a late bloomer. She loves those holidays, her friends and financial She needs respect, her gym time and we (men) need her time to do what she wants. Why take it away? When are we going to make that change? That’s the idea behind this move,” he explained.
The Kanguva actor said that he is happy to see Jyothika growing. “I am happy to see his progress as an actor too. My children were part of an IB school and there were only one or two schools in Chennai. It is a matter of good fortune that my children are studying well, and they are pursuing excellence. Want to achieve. It’s good. We saw some good opportunities here, so we moved here.”
Suriya also talked about balancing his time between Chennai and Mumbai. He said, “I am balancing between Chennai and Mumbai. I take at least 10 days off in a month. I don’t shoot at all. For the remaining 20 days, I don’t mind shooting for 18-20 hours. Not there.” In those 10 days, no call came from office or work. Of course, I meet my industry friends here, but with no office, I’m happy walking in the park with my daughter or going for a drive or eating ice cream. “I love taking my son to basketball.”
On the work front, Suriya will next be seen in director Siruthai Siva’s Kanguva, which will release in theaters on November 14. On the other hand, Jyotika has completed the shooting of Dabba Cartel.
