Super Mario Brothers 2 received an official title and a release date. The sequel to the April 2023 film is one of the much awaited films of the year, which brings back Chris Pratt and Anya Taylor-Joy together.
As the new name of the film, the studio announced that the upcoming cinematic piece would be called the Super Mario Galaxy film, and it would hit theaters in the first half of 2026. The new title and release date was announced by manufacturers on 13 September before celebrating the 40th anniversary of the franchise during the Nintendo Direct on Friday.

The upcoming animated film has obtained its title from Nintendo’s hit video game, Super Mario Galaxy, which was released in 2007. For this program, Nintendo Direct began to show the sequel to the teaser, which is soon to hit the big screen. In preview, Mario was seen naping under a tree, in which the palace of Princess Peach was seen in a distance.
The audience also saw a glimpse of Monty Mole, which underground, Chips Chips took a dip in the nearby stream, and jumped around the Tods Mahal. The film has become one of the most successful video games adaptation. Super Mario Galaxy is scheduled to release in theaters on 3 April 2026.
