NASA astronaut Sunita Williams and Buch Willmore, who were trapped at the International Space Station (ISS) for more than nine months, have returned home. He made a safe landing on Earth, thanks to an innocent mission by Spacecraft Dragon of Crew -9 and SpaceX.
Started as an eight-day mission, it turned into a nine-month marathon for Ms. Williams and Sri Wilmore.
In ISS, both astronauts consumed a lot of pizza, roasted chicken and even shrimp cocktails, The New York Post reported. They did not have too much fresh food to add to their diet, the couple.
With the knowledge of the troubled Starlineer Mission, an expert told NY Post that the pair also ate tuna and breakfast grains with powder milk.
Food is often packed or freeze-dry and can be heated on ISS using hot food. It is adapted to the daily needs of each astronaut, he said.
But Grab, built at the Space Food Systems Laboratory of Johnson Space Center in Houston, is forced to use fresh yield.
The daily meal allowance for each astronaut was carefully planned at about 3.8 pounds per day, placed on hand with additional supply if the mission was to be extended.
All meat and eggs are required to be heated in space only after cooking on Earth. The 530-gallon freshwater tank of the space station provided the required water for dry soup, stew and caisrol. Protein options included tuna and other ripe meats.
ISS restores goods every three months. Initially there was fresh fruit, but “as three months continues that goes away – and their fruits and vegetables are packed or freezed,” the expert told the NY Post in November 2024.
The ISS ensured without waste, even sweating in urine and fresh water of astronauts. Two astronauts prepared their food and ate on a magnetic tray with a metal pot.
The expert said, “There is nothing left to give a chance and it includes their food.”
On Wednesday, Ms. Williams’s family said she was “happy”, she was unexpectedly returned after nine months of migration in space.
“That moment was real,” Falguni Pandya, her sister -in -law told NDTV, SpaceX Dragon Spaceship said on the banks of Florida, referring to, referring to her safe return to Earth.
Since Ms. Williams was the first astronaut at the space station, she would be eager to throw a ‘Samosa Party’ for her, Ms. Pandya said.
