Sunil Grover said on working with Kapil Sharma again after the controversy, ‘It is fun’
Actor-comedian Sunil Grover opened up about reuniting with Kapil Sharma on the Netflix show The Great Indian Kapil Show. Kapil and Sunil reportedly had a fight on a flight while returning to India from a tour of Australia in 2017.
Earlier this year, when Kapil Sharma came out with The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix, the whole world rejoiced. However, what was even more exciting was that he patched up with Sunil Grover, who joined the team after a gap of over six years. In an exclusive chat with India Today Digital, Sunil revealed what made them come together again.
“We used to meet, It was not that they were not available (It’s not that we didn’t meet). For some occasion or party, we met a few times. It was just not decided when we would work together. Thanks to Netflix for bringing us together and giving us this opportunity. I hope this becomes a continuous ritual,” Sunil Grover said.
The comedian further added, “It’s fun working together (We are having a lot of fun working together). We are laughing a lot and making others laugh too. Our priority is to keep our fans happy and entertained.”
Let us tell you that in 2017, Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover had a fight in the flight while returning to India from Australia tour. Although both of them have not spoken openly about this, but they keep pulling each other’s leg on this.
Sunil Grover also talked about the shooting process and the constant improvisation done by the team. He said that the dialogues are really funny, but sometimes the reaction of the guests forces him to tell even funnier jokes.
He said, “This show is not like a fiction project where you can take any kind of take. It is like a play where everything is organic. Everyone is connected to each other’s performance and enjoys it too.” He further said that there are times when he or any other actor cannot stop laughing during the shooting.
“This happens many times, but we keep working on the take. It becomes even more fun when everyone starts pulling each other’s leg,” Sunil said.
Archana Puran Singh, who was part of the interview, said, “Every time Krushna (Krushna Abhishek) starts laughing in between jokes, Parmeet (husband Parmeet Sethi) goes crazy. We even pause the TV to watch them laugh.”
The Great Indian Kapil Show, starring Kiku Sharda and Rajeev Thakur, will premiere on Netflix on September 21.
