Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty was in the US when the World Trade Center in New York was attacked by terrorists in 2001. He was shooting Sanjay Gupta’s action-thriller Kate with the film’s team at Los Angeles. In a latest interview, the actor conducted a gun tip by the actor. Sunil believes that the police suspected him, possibly due to his beard, which she had grown for the film.

Talking to former ICICI Bank CEO Chanda Kokhar, on his podcast, Sunil recalled to wake up on the first day of the shoot and see news about the 9/11 attack on TV. Then he went down, and while he was returning to his room, he realized that he had forgotten his key – an incident that caused doubt.

“I was going to the hotel, entered the lift, and felt that I had forgotten my key. This was a American gentleman. He kept watching me, and I asked, ‘Do you have keys? Because I have forgotten me, and my employees have gone out. He ran away and created a ruckus.

He said, “I didn’t know what was happening. So I had to go down on my knees. They handcuffed me.” At this point, his film’s production crew intervened, and one of the hotel managers, who was Pakistani, clarified that Sunil was an actor.

“And when the production team came, and one of the managers – a Pakistani gentleman at the hotel said and said,” He is an actor. ” Whatever we used to do at that time were crazy. I did not know what was going to happen next because there was a lot of uproar, and my beard was the joining beard, ”Sunil shared.

The actor believes that confusion arose because the person in the lift did not understand English. “I felt that he does not understand the language. Perhaps he did not speak English. So I indicated the ‘key, lift’, but it worked against me,” he said.

The thorn released in 2002 was directed by Sanjay Gupta. The film also starred Sanjay Dutt, Amitabh Bachchan, Kumar Gaurav and Mahesh Manjrekar, others.
