Sunidhi Chauhan is one of the finest playback singers in the Hindi music industry and she is proud of it. The ace singer has worked with many other talented artists in the industry, including Arijit Singh. Sunidhi recently praised Arijit, saying that he is always ready to take inspiration from other singers and also praised his humility towards singing.
During the latest podcast with Raj Shamani on YouTube, Sunidhi Chauhan called Arijit a “genius singer” who even when singing another singer’s song, makes the listeners think it’s his track.
The Kamli singer called her junior, Arijit, her “student” and said that he can adapt himself to different genres and other singers. Calling it a “great quality”, she said that the Tum Hi Ho singer adapts to it “without changing his voice”.
Sunidhi said that singers usually change their voices to change their style, however, Arijit doesn’t do that. She said that the Phir Mohabbat singer is not happy with himself despite his success.
The Sheila Ki Jawani singer added, “I think he doesn’t love himself that much, that’s why he is able to do what he is doing. He is a student, he doesn’t think he is Arijit Singh. He doesn’t love himself that much.”
He added that Arijit is a “cool” person and that he often “likes to listen to other singers and learn something new from what he likes.”
Elaborating on this, the 40-year-old singer said that be it the late legend Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar or any new artiste, the ‘Jaalima’ singer often sings others’ songs at his concerts.
Sunidhi further added that Arijit wants to make music and the audience wants to listen to him. Arijit Singh had recently postponed his UK tour due to “medical circumstances”.
The concert which was supposed to be held in August will now take place in September this year. In his Instagram post, the singer also apologised to his fans who had bought tickets for his show.
He said that the existing tickets will remain valid next month also.
Sunidhi Chauhan and Arijit Singh have worked together on the song Janib from Dilliwali Zaalim Girlfriend and Kashmir Main Tu Kanyakumari from Chennai Express. They have also worked together on the song Dilliwali Girlfriend from Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani.
