Sudhanshu Pandey on ‘bhai’ Rajan Shahi, and will he return to ‘Anupamaa’?
In an interview, actor Sudhanshu Pandey spoke about his current equation with producer Rajan Shahi, amid speculations of a rift between the two. He also commented on whether he will ever return as Vanraj in ‘Anupamaa’.

Actor Sudhanshu Pandey recently announced that he is no longer working on the TV show ‘Anupamaa’. In his latest interview, the actor spoke about the whole issue and his differences with the show’s producer Rajan Shahi. Pandey also clarified if he would ever return to the show as Vanraj Shah, the character he played for over four years.
The actor spoke times of India and called Rajan Shahi his “brother”. Stating that things have been sorted out from his side, he further added that he cannot speak about how the producer really feels about their equation. “Rajan is an old friend, and our relationship has always been like that of two brothers. We worked together when he was starting out as a director, much before he became a producer. From my side, nothing has changed in our equation. However, everyone makes their own decisions about how they want to be with the other person. I have no hard feelings towards anyone,” he said.
Pandey, who was earlier a member of the musical band ‘The Band of Boys’, said his decisions are final. He added that once he decides to quit something, he really tries to move on. “I don’t think that’s going to happen. When you decide to move on, looking back can make you falter. I would prefer to continue moving forward. Once I say I have moved on, I mean it,” he said.
For Sudhanshu Pandey, all the stories about his decision to quit ‘Anupamaa’ are mere rumours. However, he is not ready to reveal what exactly was the reason behind the big decision. The actor explained, “Whenever something like this happens, stories inevitably start building up around it. I do not choose to add fuel to the fire as I have always worked with honesty and dignity. I believe everyone has their own point of view, which can lead to conflict, and I prefer to avoid that.”

Pandey continued to express his faith in God. He said that he believes in the power of the Almighty and feels positive about his decision. The actor mentioned that he is looking at it as a new opportunity in life and a “blessing”. “This decision has been taken suddenly. It came unexpectedly, and I had to make a choice for my own reasons. However, everything is positive; my mind is at peace, and I am happy. I look at it as a blessing, perhaps the beginning of many more blessings to come,” he said.
‘Anupama’ also stars Rupali Ganguly, Nidhi Shah, Gaurav Khanna and Chandni Bhagwanani. Sudhanshu worked in this show since it started four years ago. His character Vanraj Shah is one of the most hated villains in the history of Hindi TV. The show will continue to air on Star Plus.
