Sudha Kongara spoke to us about the male actors on her wish list. She told us, “I have Dulquer (Salman), Mohanlal, Mammootty and my dream is to direct Amitabh Bachchan someday.”

Recalling an incident from the sets of Mani Ratnam’s film ‘Yuva’, where she was an assistant director, Sudha said, “I worked with Abhishek (Bachchan) in ‘Yuva’. And he gave me a book signed by his father (Amitabh Bachchan). And when he came to the sets to meet us in Calcutta, he took me, who was the last assistant director, with him. And he said, ‘Papa, she is your fan.’ I am crazy about his (Amitabh Bachchan’s) art.”

However, when it comes to female actresses, Sudha revealed that Tabu tops her list. “Tabu tops the list. And then there is Shefali Shah, Samantha, Alia (Bhatt), Deepika (Padukone).”

She further added, “I have been forced to do only films where I have to work with the male protagonist. I think I should break out of that box. Actually, Seema Biswas ma’am initially didn’t want to do ‘Sarfira’. And then she met me and then she talked to me and she said, ‘Okay, I am doing it.'”

She further added that Paresh Rawal was on her wish list for a long time and she feels lucky to have him in this film.

As far as ‘Sarfira’ is concerned, the film was released on July 12.
