Actor and producer Jyotica defended her move to support her husband Suriya’s ‘Kangwa’ after failing to impress critics and audiences last year. During her appearance at a YouTube show, the 46 -year -old said that the decision to write a long note in support of her husband and came from the film audience and the media with ‘selective criticism’.

He said, “I just have a problem with bad films. I have seen a large number of commercially bad films below the south, which have actually done (at the box office) and have been reviewed with a big heart.”

The actor, who recently appeared in the Netflix show ‘Dabba Cartel’, realized that criticism in the case of ‘Kangwa’ was unfair. He said that reviews were ‘rigid’ compared to other films. “When it came to my husband’s film, I felt that it was quite rigorous reviews. Perhaps there were parts that were not good; but overall, a lot of effort was made,” he said.

Jyotika said, “It was one way. So, when I saw a joyful review for Kangwa than some pathetic people, which I found. I was more upset than the media not to be fair.”

Earlier, ‘Kangwa’ was dropped for several reasons, including a bad sound and a story that did not resonate with the audience, Jyothika wrote a long note on social media. While she did not really get away from the criticism of the film and admitted that “sound was nervous”, he said that it would not have found such a negative review.

“I am surprised by the negative reviews from the media and some fraternity as it has not been done at this high level for this high level of films that I have seen with the first age-old stories, where women are stalk, double-ear dialogues are spoken, and the most over-the-top action sequence (SIC) is written.

‘Kangwa’ directed by Shiva was a pan-India release and was built on a budget of Rs 300350 crore. While Suria led the film in the role of a tribal leader, he joined by Bobby Deol, who made her Tamil debut with the film as the main opponent. Disha Patani was also a part of the film.

As mentioned by the business website SacnilkThe film grossed around Rs 106 crore worldwide during its lifetime, and emerged as one of the largest box office disasters in Tamil cinema.
