Stree 2 starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in the lead roles is making waves at the box office. The horror-comedy directed by Amar Kaushik is in no mood to slow down. The film maintained a strong hold on Tuesday, which is practically its first working day. As per estimates, Stree 2 collected around Rs 25 crore on its sixth day and crossed the Rs 250 crore mark at the Indian box office.
‘Stree 2’ earned Rs 25 crore on Tuesday, expected to earn Rs 500 crore lifetime
After a historic extended weekend of Rs 228 crore, the horror-comedy grossed Rs 25 crore on its sixth day, taking its total collection in India to Rs 253 crore. The film attracted more viewers on its opening Tuesday than it did on Friday at PVRInox. Reportedly, Stree 2’s average ticket price dropped by 20% on weekdays, resulting in a massive increase in its viewership.
If Stree 2 continues at this pace, the film will reach the Rs 300 crore mark in eight days. Moreover, Stree 2 is likely to reach the Rs 400 crore mark by next week. It is also likely to reach the Rs 500 crore mark at the Indian box office; however, this will largely depend on its performance in the third week.
The Shraddha-Rajkummar film has already surpassed the lifetime collections of Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter; it will soon surpass the Hindi collections of Kalki 2898 AD and become the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2024.

Stree 2 will have a long run at the box office
The film, which has a strong ensemble cast, turned out to be a dark horse at the box office and surprised the trade pundits. Dinesh Vijan’s production venture continues to attract the urban and common crowd. There are good signs of the film having a long run, thanks to its strong hold on the working days. Also, there are no major Hindi releases in the coming weeks, which is likely to give Stree 2 a clear go and benefit its business. By the end of its theatrical run, Stree 2 will try to beat the lifetime collections of Pathan and Gadar 2.
To recall, Maddock’s film was released in a three-way clash with Khel Khel Mein and Veda. However, both the films failed to woo the audience at the ticket window, resulting in the show being replaced by Stree 2.
