‘Stree 2’ trailer review: Shraddha-Rajkummar promise the funniest film of 2024
Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao will be seen in ‘Stree 2’, the sequel to the 2018 film ‘Stree’. The trailer of the film promises a lot of fun and an interesting story based on Indian legends.

The people of Chanderi are screaming again. After the previous ghost ‘Stree’ was elevated to almost goddess-like status, a new ghost is haunting their town. But this time, it is headless, and is after women instead of men. The first trailer of ‘Stree 2’, the sequel to the 2018 hit film ‘Stree’, has dropped online, and it is all things fun and charming.
When the first film came out six years ago, it revived the horror-comedy genre in Indian cinema. And ‘Stree 2’ seems to take that success forward. At least, that’s what the trailer promises. The biggest strength of the ‘Stree’ franchise lies in its inertia, its effortless acting and organic humour. The trailer of ‘Stree 2’ brings you back to those very elements.
It is a simple trailer that gives away the plot of the film but keeps the story limited to create curiosity. You will see Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana giving the best performances of their careers – setting the stage for a storm of comedy.
As shown in the trailer, the humour in the film does not take away from the intensity of its narrative. While you can also read Tripathi’s ‘Now he looks like a real prince‘ And ‘He is an influencer, his followers are increasing‘, you’re also aware of how dangerous this new ghost can be.
‘Stree 2’ stars Shraddha Kapoor in the lead role – a mysterious woman in Vicky’s (or is it Bikki?) life, who will help the people of the city fight ‘Stree’.head cut‘ and his’Terror‘. The actress’ presence in the trailer brings freshness to the screen. Her chemistry with Rajkummar is amazing, to say the least, and the trailer promises to show more scenes of their reunion in Chanderi. They have teamed up this time, but we never know if they are already a couple or not. And this is where the trailer gets interesting. It gives just enough information and leaves many questions unanswered.
From the trailer, it looks like ‘Stree 2’ is the most fun Bollywood film of the year so far. The film is releasing on the big screen on August 15 on the occasion of Independence Day. Directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, the film is the highest grossing film of India’s first supernatural cinematic universe.
