Stree 2, the sequel to Amar Kaushak’s 2018 film Stree, will hit the theatres on Independence Day on August 15. Starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, the upcoming film has created a lot of buzz ever since its announcement.
Fans are excited to know what happens in the town of Chanderi and how Shraddha’s character comes back. A few days after the teaser release, the trailer of Stree 2 will soon knock on our doors.
The trailer of ‘Stree 2’ will be released soon
According to Bollywood Hungama, the trailer of Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2 will be released on July 18 (Thursday). Although the teaser did not reveal much about the story, the trailer launch is expected to reveal the story and other details of the film.
The portal also reported that the trailer of Stree 2 will be released in theatres along with Vicky Kaushal, Tripati Dimri and Amy Virk’s upcoming film Bad Newz. The film will release in theatres on July 19.
The teaser of Stree was released in June
On June 25, the official handle of Maddock Films shared the teaser of Stree 2 on Instagram. The teaser begins with the inauguration of the statue of Stree in Chanderi. Below it is written in bold letters, “O Stree Raksha Karna”.
We see Rajkummar Rao as Vicky Parashar along with his two best friends Bittu and Jana played by Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee. Shraddha Kapoor looks quite serious in the teaser.
Pankaj Tripathi is also back. Tamannaah Bhatia is also in the video.
“This time there will be terror in Chanderi on Independence Day!” reads the caption on the post.
For those who don’t know, the teaser of Stree 2 was released in theatres in June during the end credits of Sharvari Wagh starrer Munjya.

Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 is the fifth installment of the Maddock Supernatural Universe. Apart from the lead actors, the upcoming horror-comedy also features special appearances by Varun Dhawan and Tamannaah Bhatia. While Varun will be seen as a wolf, Tamannaah will be seen in a song. Akshay will make a cameo in the film.
