Abhishek Banerjee who plays Jana in Stree 2 credited the film’s team for this phenomenal success. He said, “When you have 200 people giving positive energy while making a film, that 200 grows to 2 lakhs and then 2 crores in the cinema hall. It’s nothing but good energy on the set. Every day, we start the scene with a song that is relevant and related to the scene – maybe from the early 60s, 90s – any Bollywood, OG Hindi song and that’s how we start our day on the set. We eat together, hang out together. It’s like a family making a film. That’s exactly the energy we should have on the set. That’s how good films were made in the old days. It was like a family function and that’s what Stree 2 is all about. That’s the biggest reason for its success.”
‘Stree 2’ clashed with John Abraham’s ‘Veda’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Khel Khel Mein’ at the box office. It is directed by Amar Kaushik.
