‘Stree 2’ Day 2 at Worldwide Box Office: Strong performance everywhere, crosses 100 crores
‘Stree 2’ has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the domestic and global box office. The horror-comedy is on its way to becoming the biggest Bollywood hit of the year.

Directed by Amar Kaushik, this horror-comedy became the first Bollywood film of the year to cross the Rs 100 crore mark in two days. It is also the biggest Bollywood opener of the year with a collection of Rs 46 crore (Rs 54.35 crore including paid previews).
‘Stree 2’ is expected to become one of the top 10 highest-grossing Bollywood films at the worldwide box office. While it is too early to predict its lifetime run, the film should easily aim to cross the Rs 500 crore mark at the global ticket window.
Interestingly, ‘Stree 2’ is only the fourth Bollywood film to earn Rs 100 crore this year, the fifth if we include the business of the Hindi version of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. The list includes ‘Fighter’ (Rs 212.73 crore), ‘Shaitan’ (Rs 147.97 crore) and ‘Munjya’ (Rs 101.6 crore). It is also the 10th Indian film to achieve this feat this year.
For the director of the film, this is his third film to earn Rs 100 crore after ‘Stree’ and ‘Bala’.
‘Stree 2’ is expected to reach the Rs 200 crore mark by the end of its first extended weekend. The film is performing strongly at the box office and will see a clear increase in its collections on Saturday-Sunday.
