Stree 2 Box Office Day 1: Rajkumar-Shraddha’s film makes a record, earns Rs 54.35 crore
Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s ‘Stree 2’ broke box office records by becoming the first film of 2024 to earn Rs 54.35 crore on opening day. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film released in theatres on August 15.
Amar Kaushik’s much awaited sequel ‘Stree 2’,has rocked the box office and created a new record for 2024 with a brilliant opening day collection of Rs 54.35 crore in India. Released on Independence Day i.e. August 15, the film has surpassed expectations and become the biggest opener of the year.
Starring Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee and Pankaj Tripathi, the film will continue the success of their previous film of 2018. As per the early estimates, The film earned Rs 8 crore from its special opening premiere After its release on Wednesday, August 14, it grossed a massive Rs 46 crore on its official release day.
This combined earning of Rs 54.35 crore has set a new record surpassing previous blockbuster films like ‘Kalki 2898 AD’., And, Warrior, While ‘Kalki’ grossed Rs 95 crore across all four languages in India, ‘Fighter’ earned Rs 24.60 crore.
Despite facing tough competition with other major films like Akshay Kumar’s ‘Khel Khel Mein’ and John Abraham’s ‘Veda’, the film performed exceptionally well due to strong anticipation and positive response.
