Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree 2 witnessed its first major drop on the 13th day. For the first time, the film earned less than Rs 15 crore. This is a strange trend at a time when big films have failed miserably at the box office.
The horror-comedy film directed by Amar Kaushik has raked in around Rs 12.5 crore on its third Tuesday, which is quite impressive.
Stree 2 earns Rs 12.5 crore on 13th day, comes close to KGF Chapter 2
Stree 2, starring actors like Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee, is making a splash at the box office. Today, the film’s earnings have seen their first major drop. According to reports, Stree 2 recorded a 30% drop on its third Tuesday, after which its box office earnings were around Rs 12.5 crore. In 13 days, Stree 2’s total earnings in India have reached Rs 416 crore.
Rajkummar Rao’s film is heading towards the lifetime box office collection of KGF Chapter 2. As per the trends, Stree 2 will surpass the Yash starrer in a few days and then it will start its journey to touch the big milestone of Rs 500 crore.
‘Stree 2’ is doing well overseas, expected to earn over US$15 million
The horror-comedy film produced by Maddock Films is doing well not only at the domestic box office but also in overseas territories. Stree 2 has already crossed the USD 10 million mark in overseas markets, with the United States, the Middle East, and Canada being the top three performers.
The film is confident of grossing US$15 million by the time it releases in theaters overseas. Even the possibility of grossing US$17-18 million cannot be underestimated, as the horror-comedy will not face much competition in the coming weeks.

Stree 2 begins where Stree ends. The slogans on the walls of Chanderi change from ‘O Stree kal aana’ to ‘O Stree raksha karna’ (O woman, please protect us).
