Lewis McCartney is set to make his Broadway debut with Stranger Things: The First Shadow. The play would be adapted for West End productions, and the actor would reprise his role as Henry Creel, a studio character. Stephen Daldry will direct the theater play, which will be co-directed by Justin Martin.
Sharing a statement on McCartney stepping in for the play, the directors shared that they could not have found anyone better than the actor for the role. “Louis is an amazing actor, and we are incredibly proud of the incredible life he has lived playing Henry Creel on stage in the West End,” the statement said.
It added, “From the moment we first met her, we knew she was special, and we’re thrilled that Broadway audiences will have the opportunity to see her extraordinary performance.”
The plot of the drama, The First Shadow, will be set several years before the events of the Netflix series, which will see cast members Millie Bobby Brown, Mike Wheeler, Will Byer and the rest of the stars enter the Upside Down.

It states, “When new student Henry Creel arrives, his family discovers that new beginnings are not so easy… and that the shadows of the past have a long reach.”
