That’s all I’ll say.” Confirming that Max might play a bigger role than just being a bedridden character, Matt Duffer said, “She’s going to play a role in the season. But we don’t want to reveal how that’s possible.”

However, Duffer praised Sadie’s versatility as an actor, especially in emotional scenes. Highlighting her performance in a particular scene from season 5 of ‘Stranger Things’ that they recently shot together, he said, “I think she’s become more confident as an actor and in her choices. We shot a scene with her the other day that was absolutely heartbreaking. I don’t know how she hits those notes.”

The actress also said she was shooting a lot, which hinted she was finally doing more than just lying around while her on-screen friends were doing all the action. “I’ve been working all last week, and I kept thinking, ‘Oh my god, I forgot how hard this show is’,” Sadie said.
