Parts of the UK are facing heavy snow, rain and strong winds and weather forecasters have warned of the arrival of Storm Bert this weekend. according to BBCMore than 100 schools in Scotland and nearly 200 in Devon and Cornwall have been closed due to the snow. The weather office has issued a yellow alert of snowfall and snowfall till Friday (November 22). The outlet further said that Bret is the second named storm of the season to bring extreme weather events to parts of Britain.

Winds up to 70 mph (113 kph) and heavy rain are expected in some areas. It could also cause travel disruption and flooding, with up to 100mm of rain expected in parts of Wales and south-west England.
Local officials have issued a warning to drivers and asked them to check the forecast before taking out their vehicles. Motorists have been advised to drive with “extreme caution” in areas expected to be hit by Storm Bert.
Devon and Cornwall Police have already received several calls about collisions due to the conditions BBC Report.
The warning covers Angus, Perth and Kinross, Stirlingshire, Aberdeenshire and some of the Highlands and parts of Argyll and Bute.
