US President Donald Trump on Monday vowed that the attack on Yemen’s Huthis would continue until they are a threat to shipping, warning the “real pain” of the rebels and his Iranian backers.
Trump’s threat on the truth social network comes when his administration fights a scam on a chat between senior US authorities on Yemen attacks that was accidentally leaked to a journalist.
It also comes in the midst of Trump’s rhetoric of Tehran, the President threatened that “bombing” if Iran does not reach a deal on its nuclear program.
“The choice for the Huthi is clear: stop shooting on the US vessels, and we will stop shooting at you. Otherwise, we have only started, and in Iran, the real pain for both Huthi and their sponsors is still yet to come.”
Trump said that the huthies were “disintegrated” by “tireless” attacks since March 15, saying that American forces hit them every day and night – hard and difficult. ,
“Our attacks will continue until they are a threat to the freedom of navigation,” he said on his social network.
In recent times, Trump has repeatedly emphasized that whenever he is asked about the so-called “Signalgate” scam, what does he say to the success of American attacks on Huthi, which has shook his administration.
The Atlantic magazine revealed last week that its editor was accidentally included in a chat on commercially available signal app as top officials discussed the Yemen strike.
Officers, including Trump’s National Security Advisor Mike Waltz and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, gave details of and intelligence at the time of aerial strike.
Trump has rejected the call to dismiss Waltz or Hegseth and “hunting the witch” to the scandal.
“The matter has been closed in the White House, as far as we are concerned,” a White House press secretary Karolin Lewit told reporters on Monday.
Both Waltz and Hegseth on Monday reiterated Trump’s true social message about Huthi.
