Stock market update: Stocks hit 52-week highs on NSE in today’s trade

New Delhi: Shares of Mazda Ltd, Ddev Plastiks Ind, Indo Thai Sec, Atlas Cycles and California Soft touched their fresh 52-week highs during Thursday’s trade on the NSE.

The benchmark NSE Nifty rose 98.6 points to close at 23311.8 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks like Noida Toll Bridge Company, Spacenet Enterprises, Lancor Holdings, SVP Global and GTPL Hathaway touched their fresh 52-week lows.

Overall, 32 stocks in the Nifty 50 index closed in the green, while 18 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, HDFC Life, BEL, SBI Life, Shriram Finance and Adani Ports SEZ were among the top gainers during the day, while Trent, Dr. Reddy’s, Tata Consumer, HCL Tech and Wipro finished in the red.

    The BSE Sensex rose 318.74 points to close at 77042.82.

    Traders held positions in the General, IT Enabled Services, Services, Auto and Apparels sectors, while selling was seen in the Defence, Textiles, Pharmaceuticals, Metals – Ferrous and Tobacco sectors during the day.
