ICICI Bank Limited (1.68 percent), Au Small Finance Bank Ltd. (1.51 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd (1.1 per cent), Bandhan Bank Ltd (1.05 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Shares Bank Ltd (up 0.92 per cent) ended the day as the top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, HDFC Bank Ltd (down 0.58 per cent) and IDFC First Bank Ltd (down 0.21 per cent) ended as the day’s top losers.
The Nifty Bank Index rose 0.5 percent to close at 52870.5.
The benchmark NSE Nifty50 index rose 147.5 points to close at 23868.8, while the BSE Sensex rose 620.73 points to 78674.25.
Out of 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 closed in the green and 25 in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Vedanta, Yes Bank, Indian Renewable and India Cement were among the most traded stocks on the NSE.
Shares of Fiberweb India, Somi Conveyor, Amines Plastic, Precot Meridian and AGC Network touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Future Supply Chain, Sarthak Metals, GIR Natureview, Laxmi Precision and BDR Buildcon touched their fresh 52-week lows. . .
