The benchmark NSE Nifty closed 156.1 points at 24680.9 amid selling in frontline bluchip counters.
However, stocks like Stamped Cap, Future Consumer, Supreme Holdings, Supreme Engineering and Reliance Cum touched the lower part of their fresh 52-week.
Overall, the Nifty 50 index finished 16 stocks in Green, while 34 closed in red.
In the Nifty 50 index, Shriram Finance, Cipla, Hero MotoCorp, HUL and Asian Paints were in the top benefit during the day, while Kotak Bank, Bajaj Finance, Wipro, Indusind Bank and Bharti Airtel ended.
The BSE Sensex closed 572.07 points at 80891.02.
Traders raised positions in IT -competent services, General, Tourism and Hospitality, Apparels and Engineering fields, while selling auto affiliations, aquacultures, packaging, media and entertainment and construction sectors during the day.
