The NSE Nifty50 index rose 8.96 points to close at 24610.05, while BSE’s 30-share flagship Sensex gained 1.59 points to close at 81510.05.

(up 0.99%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises Ltd. 0.9%, ICICI Bank Ltd (up 0.62%) and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (0.52%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
