The NSE Nifty50 index rose 126.2 points to close at 24698.85, while BSE’s 30-share flagship Sensex gained 378.18 points to close at 80802.86.

(up). 2.51%, Hindalco Industries Ltd. (up 2.14%), Tech Mahindra Ltd. (up 2.13%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (up 1.63%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (up 1.6%) and Grasim Industries Ltd. (up 1.48%). Nifty was among the top gainers in the pack.
