‘Still in shock’: Stranger Things ends production; Finn Wolfhard and Noah Schnapp say emotional goodbye

Stranger Things ends production after filming its fifth and final season! On December 10, Netflix announced that filming of the series had completed and shared a carousel of pictures from the set. His cast mates also started sharing their emotional tributes, paying final respects to the show that made him a breakout star.

Finn Wolfhard shared some photos of the cast on Instagram, including an old photo from season one. “We just finished Stranger Things Season 5. I’m still in shock,” she wrote in the caption. “We shot it for a year and I’m going to miss all my friends and our characters,” he said.

He recalled how they were “a bunch of goofy youngsters” when the show first started and had no idea that it would become a phenomenon. “I think we’re still the same people and I’m lucky to be standing with them today,” the actor said.

The Ghostbusters: Afterlife actor hopes that audiences will love the final season as much as they did the previous season. Wolfhard was 13 years old when he first joined the show as one of the main characters, Mike Wheeler.

Noah Schnapp, who played Will Byers from the first season, also shared an emotional tribute at the show’s finale. He shared how, over the past 10 years, Stranger Things taught him some “valuable life/career lessons”. He recalled shooting the final scene as Will and felt very emotional.

In the lengthy tribute post, he personally congratulated his castmates Wolfhard, Winona Ryder, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Charlie Heaton and the Duffer brothers and listed what he learned from each of them. .

He added, “Growing up, I always felt like an outcast, unsure where I would fit in.” Schnapp admitted that living life in the public eye was challenging, but he felt honored to share that journey with his “incredible” co-stars. ,

He described the Netflix show as a “lifelong dream come true” and thanked the creators for trusting him with this opportunity. “Together, this cast + crew have created something very special, and I couldn’t be more excited for the world to see the final chapter,” he wrote, adding that the show will always be in his heart.

Stranger Things season 5 will premiere on Netflix in 2025.
