It was a stars in every sense in the early show of fashion designer Rahul Mishra for Hyundai India Couture Week 2025 in collaboration with Reliance Brands held in New Delhi on 23 July.

The much awaited annual showcase – an initiative by the Fashion Design Council of India – just before the celebration and marriage enthusiasm, brings the best of Indian coucher just before catching the country.

For Mishra’s showcase, it was filled with wires in more than one way. He – a fashion star in India, was celebrated in the global runway – the brightest. Actress Tamannaah Bhatia was the second – who captured the ramp in the show, not one but two floral -Burst Ensambal.

His gentle work swaths in sparkling elements and the dramatic setup at the Taj Palace in New Delhi led further stars appeal.

Under your feet, you felt that landed on the moon. But up (and around), the sparkling visual mood sets of galaxies and starbursts.

Like the vastness and perfection of the universe – a theme Mishra often returns – the show brought a universe together. Met Gala -ASk with 3D from ASk to complex embroidered lehengas and sarees – he brought the two dynamic world together about love together. Or, instead of seven stages.

The designer brought back the ‘7 stages of love’ – which he had shown barely in Paris two weeks ago. He brought it back, but with a turn. This performance of ‘7 stages of love’ also included ethnic Indian silhouettes – Sari, Lehenga -Chioli, Sherwaniis and Nranas. Although

But the designer, this time, divided the show into seven sub -parts, each of which painted a phase of love (a Sufi concept) – attraction, violations, surrender, reverence, devotion, passion and finally, death.

Yes, she was the Golden Heart Dress Opening Look – representing the attraction spirit with the major details shining through the major veins – how the heart starts beating faster when a person feels attracted to someone. This was followed by an array of models running under the ramp in structured fabric – a bath in silver and sequins.

While one might surprise the designer flew pieces of Paris show to India, but he made a direct record against it. Mishra said in the press conference, “Most of them were rebuilt in record time by our artisans in 10 days.”

The complicated pieces were inspired by the famous artist Gustav Climt and Ether headgier, also on performance by Milineer Stephen Jones, especially designed for Mishra.

As an early show of the season, Rahul Mishra’s showcase also set a tone for the trends we would be watching this festival and wedding season.

Sequins are to live here! There was a true view-faizing multi-head glitter sari-a more maximalist on a sequin-draped looks we have seen on countless celebrities.

Traditionally, Mishra has made a minimum color palette champion in his wedding wearing, and this year was no different. Ivory and Pale Pink were dominated on the runway, brought to life with golden or multi-headed floral embroidery. But latest additions such as rust and deep purple also created a striking appearance.

When it comes to the silhouette, the corset stood out – whether a lehenga or paired with a sari, it is clearly the taste of the weather.

You may be surprised to know that the people are also a moment – as a choli of a cocktail gown or as a kurtis for the Sharara set. Speaking about, the nominations have become sheer – Mishra’s collection was filled with an oomph on the traditional silhouette.

And men, this is the time to move beyond the classic ivory-end-gold Sherwani. Otherwise embrace sequins accents and vivid floral motifs on the Ivory Ensembles muted – especially if you are ‘Hello, part of the groom, then stylish is also a tribe.
