The Star Wars franchise continues to grow with time. The space opera is set to unveil a new adventure, with Jeremy Alan White now joining the cast. The actor, widely acclaimed for his role in The Bear, has become the latest member of this grand, cross-generational franchise filled with drones, aliens and robots.
The news was first reported by Deadline, which also stated that the actor will not just make a small cameo but play a significant role.
In the Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu movie, jeremy alan white Rota will play the role of The Hut. For those who find this name familiar, Rotta is the son of Jabba the Hutt.
Alan White will play the intergalactic crime boss, who resembles a large, snake-like creature with menacing eyes. Although there are no confirmed details regarding the appearance of Rota the Hutt, the outlet suggested that The Iron Claw actor will voice a CGI character.
For those unaware, several of Jabba the Hutt’s relatives have already appeared in the Star Wars series, including films like The Book of Boba Fett and Episode I: The Phantom Menace.
The previously announced cast of Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu includes Pedro Pascal, who will reprise his role as Mando, and Ghostbusters actress Sigourney Weaver.
The latest entry in the space opera film franchise will be directed by The Jungle Book director Jon Favreau. Meanwhile, the screenplay will be co-written by Dave Filoni.
The first footage of Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu was shown at D23 at the Honda Center in Anaheim in August. For those unfamiliar, the event was attended by both Favreau and Filoni.
Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu is scheduled to be released on May 22, 2026.
