SSMB29, starring Mahesh Babu in the lead role, is currently undergoing production and is expected to hit a big screen by 2027. Recently, director SS Rajamouli was seen in a meeting with Kenyan Foreign Affairs Minister Mussalia Mudwadi, who shared some insight on the project.

Taking his official social media handle, Kenyan Minister Mussalia Mudavadi said, “Kenya, one of the greatest filmmakers in this last fortnight, became a platform for SS Rajamouli, Vachar Indian director, screenwriter, whose works have captured the imagination of the audience in the continents.”
“Rajamouli, with a career spread over two decades, is famous for weaving powerful stories, groundbreaking visuals, and deep cultural resonance together. His team of 120 crew members chose Kenya after a comprehensive scouting tour in East Africa, which settled as a primary film destination in our country where about 95% of African scenes in our country have settled in the form Is.”
Kenai Foreign Affairs Minister said that Mahesh Babu starrer has been slated to release 120 countries and reach more than one billion audiences worldwide.
He said, “From the broad plains of Masai Mara to the beautiful Naiwasha, the rugged Sambhu, and the iconic Ambosali, Kenya’s landscape is now designed to become the largest film production in Asia. It is scheduled for release in more than 120 countries, the film is expected to reach more than one billion people.”
Eliminating the post, Mussalia Mudavadi emphasized that the decision to make SSMB29 in Kenya is more than a cinematic milestone, but a statement highlights the beauty of their country.
As the schedule wraps, the SSMB29 team is returning to India to continue production.

SSMB29 is called a globe-trotting jungle adventure, in which Mahesh Babu has played the role of a rugged explorer inspired by Indiana Jones and African folklore. As part of the superstar’s recent birthday celebrations, the manufacturers announced that the official disclosure would be in November 2025. He has promised that it would have ‘never seen’.
Apart from Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra is Jonas as a co-Leide in the much awaited film. Apart from this, actors Prithviraj Sukumaran and R Madhavan are also expected to play an important role.
