Stephen A. Smith, who is a longtime friend of Jay-Z, recently came forward to address the new allegations against the Hard Knock Life rapper. In his statement, Smith was heard dismissing online comparisons between Jay-Z and Sean Diddy Combs while defending the Empire State of Mind artist.

On the December 10 episode of his eponymous show, Stephen A. Smith dropped allegations against the No Church in the Wild rapper, accusing him of raping and drugging a minor.

Smith said, “Anyone who has been around Jay-Z and knows him has seen him come to the rescue of the most helpless among us—children.”

Smith then went on to say that he did not believe for a second that Jay-Z “would be associated with such an allegation… R*pe?” First of all, I wouldn’t believe him. Secondly, a 13 year old kid? No.”

However, he then added, “Let’s be clear, this is not P. Diddy,” as he added that Homeland Security did not raid the Young Forever rapper’s home and he has not been charged with the multiple felonies that ultimately led to him Will leave behind. Times.

“He (Jay) is being accused by a plaintiff who has hired an attorney in search of civil retribution 20 years after the fact. He ain’t P. Diddy. This is different,” Stephen A. Smith said.

While the show host said he has not spoken to Jay-Z since the allegations surfaced, however, he added that he has “known and loved” his friend for more than two decades.

For those who don’t know, the Can’t Knock the Hustle artist was recently accused of raping a 13-year-old underage girl in the year 2000. The lawsuit also dragged now-disgraced music mogul Sean Diddy Combs, who is behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center.
