Jashwant Bopanna and Aakriti Negi emerged as the winners of ‘MTV Splitsvilla X5: ExSqueeze Me Please’. The grand finale of the popular dating reality show took place on Sunday, August 11. The other finalist couple was Harsh Arora and Rushali Yadav.

The dating reality TV show hosted by Sunny Leone and Tanuj Virwani saw three couples make it to the grand finale – Digvijay Rathi and Kashish Kapoor (Power Match), Harsh Arora and Rushali Yadav (Love Match) and Jashwant Bopanna and Aakriti Negi (Ideal Match).

However, due to an unexpected twist by guests Urfi Javed and Munawar Faruqui, Digvijay and Kashish are eliminated from the show before the finale task.

Excited with the win, Aakriti Negi said, “I cannot describe my happiness! This journey has been a rollercoaster of emotions. Winning ‘MTV Splitsvilla X5: XSqueeze Me Please’ with my partner Jashwant is extremely special for me. It was really challenging to win against such strong contenders, but we all worked together – winning the title is more important to us than any other hurdle that came in between, and we have proved that!”

Jashwant Bopanna said, “Winning the title of India’s OG dating reality show is an extremely proud moment for me, especially after I came so close to winning the title in both my previous reality shows. But this proves that hard work never goes in vain. I am extremely thrilled to have won the title of ‘MTV Splitsvilla X5: ExSqueeze Me Please’ with my true connection, Aakriti. We beat 30 strong contestants and we silenced everyone who criticised us. I would like to thank the fans for their incredible support throughout the season!”

Sunny Leone, who has been hosting the show for the past few years, said, “Having seen the journey of several contestants across all the seasons of MTV Splitsvilla, this season Aakriti and Jashwant stood out to me. They truly deserve this win. They played well, found love and made it to the finish line. I wish them all the best and hope they continue to shine together.”

‘MTV Splitsvilla X5: ExSqueeze Me Please’ introduced the ‘ex-Ile’ for the first time, giving the audience a wild ride of love and betrayal. The mischievous Uorfi set the house on fire by introducing ex-Ile contestants in the main villa.
