She said, “I have never said this but unfortunately I cannot give birth to my children. I have a lot of medical problems that can put my life and the baby’s life at risk. This was something I had to suffer for some time.” Selena has been suffering from an autoimmune condition called lupus for the last several years.

However, this setback did not deter Selena Gomez from becoming a parent. With the advancement of medical science, she is eyeing adoption or surrogacy. “It doesn’t necessarily happen the way I imagined it. I thought it would happen the way it does for everyone. (But) I’m in a much better position in this case. I find it a blessing that there are such amazing people who are willing to do surrogacy or adoption, which are huge possibilities for me. It made me really grateful for other outlets for people who are dying to be mothers. I am one of those people. I’m excited about what this journey will be like, but it will be a little different. At the end of the day, I don’t care. It will be mine. It will be my baby,” she shared.
32-year-old Selena Gomez is in a relationship with 36-year-old record producer Benny Blanco. She confirmed her relationship status in December last year.
