1. Marriage of Naga Chaitanya and Shobhita Dhulipala:
South celebrity couple Naga Chaitanya and Shobhita Dhulipala finally tied the knot this week on December 4, 2024. The couple, who were in a relationship for quite some time, tied the knot in a traditional and celebratory ceremony at Annapurna Studios.
The wedding was attended by many celebrities from the Telugu film industry, such as Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Nani and many others. Moreover, members of both Akkineni and Daggubati’s families were present to join in the celebrations of the Thandale actor’s special day.
2. Ajith Kumar’s Vidamuyarchi quashes rumors of legal dispute
Ajith Kumar starrer Vidamuyarchi is all set to release on the big screens for Pongal 2025, the teaser of the film hit the internet a few days ago. With the teaser visuals showing similarities to the film Breakdown, rumors emerged that its remake rights had not been purchased and that the Ajith Kumar starrer was in legal dispute.
However, those rumors were debunked according to a report in Times Now which also claimed that the film’s similarity to the American film is purely coincidental.
3. Kantara star Rishabh Shetty chosen to play Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj
As Rishabh Shetty is prepping up with the film Kantara: Chapter 1 and he already has the film Jai Hanuman with director Prashant Verma, the actor has also been roped in to play the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
In a surprise revelation, director Sandeep Singh revealed that the magnum opus drama film titled The Pride of India: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj will star Rishabh and it will release on January 21, 2027.
4. Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule released and Pushpa 3: The Rampage announced
Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule finally released on the big screens on December 5, 2024. The film, directed by Sukumar, is the sequel to the 2021 film Pushpa: The Rise, which ended with a cliffhanger scene.
As the story unfolds, we follow Pushparaju, a red sandalwood smuggler and the mastermind behind the smuggling operation. During his journey, he encounters old adversaries determined to thwart his activities, while new challengers also rise to confront him.
Along with turning the film into a saga, the makers have also announced that the film will be getting a third sequel titled Pushpa 3: The Rampage.
