1. AR Rahman’s divorce from wife Saira Banu
Much-loved music composer AR Rahman surprised everyone this week when his wife Saira Banu announced that the couple would be seeking separation after 29 years of marriage. The news of his divorce has created a wave of mourning in the industry.
A statement issued by Saira Banu’s lawyers read: “After many years of marriage, Mrs. Saira has taken the difficult decision to separate from her husband Mr. AR Rahman. This decision comes after significant emotional stress in their relationship.
Soon after the news became public, AR Rahman took to his official social media handle to share his views.

2. Kantara: Chapter 1 Release Date:
After the phenomenal success of 2022 film Kantara, its second part directed by and starring Rishabh Shetty has finally got a release date. The film which is set to serve as a prequel to the first installment is called Kantara: Chapter 1 and is scheduled to release in theaters on October 2, 2025.

3. Keerthy Suresh and alleged boyfriend Antony Thattil
According to recent reports, actress Keerthy Suresh is all set to tie the knot soon as she is expected to marry her rumored boyfriend Antony Thattil. Apparently, the Baby John actress has been in a relationship with the Dubai-based Malayali businessman since their high school days.
According to reports, the actress is going to get married in December 2024, but its official announcement is yet to be made.
4. Allu Arjun Starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule Trailer
Allu Arjun and director Sukumar are gearing up to deliver the much-awaited sequel to their 2021 film, Pushpa 2: The Rule. This new installment will continue the gripping story of Pushparaju and his rise within a smuggling syndicate, starting right after the thrilling cliffhanger that left the audience wanting more.
Along with the trailer of the film, the makers have shared glimpses of what to expect from the sequel and what scale the film is set to be made on. Fahadh Faasil plays the main antagonist in the film, while Rashmika Mandanna reprises her role as Srivalli.
4. Jyotika wrote a long note after watching Surya starrer Kanguva
In support of her husband Suriya and the producers of Kanguva, actress Jyothika wrote a long note on the negative response the film received upon release. Addressing herself as a film lover, the actress said, “Flaws are a part of most Indian films, so it is appropriate, especially in a film like this which experiments extensively! N This is only the first 1/2 hour of the full 3 hours. But to be honest, it is a complete cinematic experience!”
Additionally, she also said that she was surprised by the negative reactions to the film, while acknowledging the problems in the film’s sound.
5. Nayanthara and Dhanush seen at the same wedding venue
Amid the ongoing feud between Nayanthara and Dhanush over the copyright infringement case, the actors were recently seen sitting on side-by-side seats at a wedding.
Trying to avoid each other’s eyes, the actors were seen attending a producer’s wedding. Recently, Dhanush and Silambarasan TR were also seen at the producer’s wedding event, where the two shared a warm embrace in a rare appearance.
For those unaware, Dhanush and Nayanthara have been going through a public feud after Dhanush filed a copyright infringement suit against the actress’ documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale. It came into limelight when the actress herself released an open letter against the actor and shared her viewpoint on the matter.
