Over the years, the market has increased rapidly for TWS Yearbuds. While the premium section of big brands like Bose, JBL, Sony and Apple still dominates, it is less than a market of Rs 15,000 where things are more interesting. This is the section where both global and domestic players are competing, each introduces almost everything – yet something is unique that separates them from each other. At the end of the day, it actually comes down what you really want from your TWS pair.
Sony recently launched WF-C710N TWS Earbuds, priced at Rs 12,990. However, they are already available at exemption on e-commerce sites, so you can only catch them for less than Rs 10,000. The company says that these earbuds are designed for users who want solid sound quality, effective ANC, adaptation features and all within a specific budget. But then, almost every other brand promises.
So, what is these stand outs?
While I loved transparent design, which was actually standing out for me was the sound – and, above these, ANC. I have been using these earbuds for weeks now, taking them to office with me, on commute, and even on flights and travels, and the overall experience during this time has actually dropped me to them. In fact, I would say that they are an easy recommendation for anyone in search of a good pair of earbuds in this price section. Of course, they are not right, and I will soon reach it. But before that, there is a quick look at the glasses:
Sony WF-C710N comes with a 5 mm driver, digital noise cancellation and an environment sound mode. 40 -hour battery with earbuds case promises life, as well as quick charge support. They have been rated IPX4 for water resistance and each weight is only 5.2g. For connectivity, these TWS support Bluetooth 5.3 with multipoint connection, and is an AI-operated voice pickup feature that promises to offer clear call clarity. Touch controls are also optimized through the Sony headphone connect app.

Blue, but big and somewhat liked somewhat
Earbuds are available in black, white, pink and transparent blue. While the first three colors have a solid finish, it is blue that actually stands out. This is the first time Sony has used a transparent design. On the blue variant I reviewed, the buds themselves are transparent, the lid of the case is clear, and half of the bottom is transparent – so you can also see the circuitry inside, which looks great.
The case in itself has enough compact to slip into the pocket of narrow trousers, and if you place it on a table, it is definitely a conversation starter. My first concern, however, was smoke and scratch. Transparent finishes often raise them easily. But even after weeks of daily use, I barely focused on any visible mark. Now I do to handle my gadgets with some care, but when I deliberately threw the earbuds into a bag with keys and cables, the case managed to remain scratched free.

The buds themselves can be light and small. Instead of a stem, they have a more round, bulkier size that did not work enough for me in terms of fit. Even after trying all ear tip sizes, the fit still did not feel safe. The buds sit a little outside the ear canal, and during commut or workouts, they sometimes slip.
Sound that is the right hit
Sony’s audio devices always bend towards a bass-profile profile while maintaining a clear and wide midrange. Now my normal playlist is mostly pop, so I really like Soundstage Sony’s audio devices. Balance tone and tools personally, yet beautifully carry them together in the ears. So was it a billboard, hit your idol from the KPOP demon hunter, or the heart on the window, I enjoyed the song on WF-C710N well.
But it was not just a p-pop, listening to Eminem’s loose Euroselph, one of my all-time favorite, was a complete treatment on WF-C710N. From the slow construction of the punch of guitar and amineum commanding vocals, everything landed with the effect, darkened with tamping bass.

You can also customize the audio through the Sony headphone connect app, which is also good because it allows you to set the equalizer according to the mood and song.
As much as I liked the sound, ANC was very surprised. Despite being a little uncomfortable fit, it was ANC that was coming back to me in these buds. Generally, I use Google Pixel buds as my daily drivers, but WF-C710N often swaps them to them. This office to silence the nonsense and focus on work, or to tone the roar of the engine during flights to a cool journey.
The app also provides an environment sound mode, which is easy while traveling or when you do not want to cut completely from your surroundings. At its top, there is adaptive sound control, which automatically adjusts between the surroundings and noise-making modes at your environment.
For call quality, I had no problem to handle the call. Outside, however, I noticed a minor decline, my voice does not always come clearly.

Now, coming into battery life: WF-C710N offers about 8 hours with a playback of about 12 hours with ANC and about 8 hours. With the charging case, Sony claims up to 40 hours. In my use, the number was quite close. I usually used earbuds for 3-4 hours a day with ANC, and I found myself topping the case every two to three days. Overall, the battery life is decent, if not extraordinary.
Sony WF-C710N Earbuds Review: Should you buy it?
If you are looking for a premium pair of earbuds with good sound, great ANC and decent battery life, Sony WF-C710N is definitely worth considering. If your playlist is filled with pop, Punjabi track or Bollywood chartbusters, you will definitely enjoy the sound. ANC also increases listening experience, calms background nonsense and makes music more concentrated and pleasant. Call quality is also clear, although it can be a bit difficult from outside.
He said, if you usually do not like bulkier earbuds and want a snag, full day, it may not be the best option. But if you are doing excellent sound and impressive noise, WF-C710N is definitely a solid option in this price range. Especially if you catch them at a discounted price of Rs 8,990.
