There are also some quality of life improvements like added support for Google Gemini AI. The price of WF-1000XM6 in America is $329.99 i.e. approximately Rs 29,903. Sony WF-1000XM6 specs and features
According to Sony, the WF-1000XM6 offer advanced noise-canceling technology and are designed to help you focus on your music in any environment. The earbuds are powered by a dual-processor system: the QN3e for advanced DAC amplifier performance and an integrated processor V2 that supports 32-bit processing, up from 24-bit in the previous model.
The WF-1000XM6 has two microphones with a bone conduction sensor on each side to capture voice more effectively. These sensors are designed to accurately capture the user’s voice even in noisy environments. How? A bone conduction sensor detects vibrations from the skull and jawbone while the user speaks. Sony says it has designed the earbuds to follow the natural contours of the inner ear, making them 11 percent thinner than previous models.
The earbuds support Hi-Res Audio Wireless, DSEE Extreme, 360 Reality Audio, and customizable 10-band EQ available through the Sony Sound Connect app. Additional features include head tracking and background music effects.
Sony promises up to 25 percent better active noise cancellation than the WF-1000XM5, especially in the mid to high frequency range.
The new earphones retain many of the features of the WF-1000XM5, including Auto Play, Quick Access and Adaptive Sound Control. But one notable trick this generation adds is Gemini integration, which offers Gemini Live support for hands-free voice assistance and natural, conversational AI interactions.
For connectivity, the WF-1000XM6 features advanced algorithms and antennas 1.5 times larger than the previous model for better stability. The earbuds also support Bluetooth LE audio for low-latency performance.
The Sony WF-1000XM6 have an IPX4 rating, which means they’re resistant to sweat or splashes from any direction. The charging case measures 61.6 x 41.1 x 26.5 mm and weighs 47 grams.
Battery life remains unchanged compared to the previous generation. Sony claims the WF-1000XM6 delivers up to 12 hours of playback with ANC off, or 8 hours with ANC enabled. The earbuds support both USB Type-C and wireless charging.
