The trailer of ‘Songs of Paradise’ of Prime Video was released on 25 August. The upcoming music, including actor Saba Azad and Soni Razadan in Pivolell Rolls, is a biopic on the legendary Kashmiri singer Raj Begum.

The trailer offers a glimpse in Nur Begum’s life and famous music journey, depicted by Saba and Sony over two time periods. In a story immersed in courage, disregard the criteria, and discovery of self-realization, Noor, a talented young singer, during that time, dared to free and break from the huts on women by the society during that time. Heaven’s songs are an Ode for his inspiring music and travel, which is supplemented by Abhay Sopori’s intimate creation and the tone of the United Nations Nisa, which affects the rich music heritage and the panoramic background of the valley.

Speaking of the character, Saba said, “There is nothing less than a revelation to play a character inspired by the mythical Raj Begum. As a musician I proud myself for a huge hearing vocabulary and yet I was completely in the dark about this incident which is Rajgum.

He added, “This film is a story of female flexibility and freedom. I can’t wait to watch the songs of heaven on prime videos for the audience – a story that celebrates Kashmir’s music heritage and a woman who helped to shape it.” In February 2024, Saba’s companion, actor Hrithik Roshan also praised his performance in the film.

Sony praised the story of the film and said, “The song of heaven ‘is a story that shifted me the moment when I read the script, and step into her character was a deep experience, a symbol of decades of flexibility, strength and cultural identity.”

“It is a powerful story that respects the music heritage of Kashmir and catch the essence of his remarkable journey,” she said.

Prior to release the trailer, the first look of ‘Songs of Paradise’ was unveiled by Prime Video. The film also stars Zain Khan Durrani, Sheeba Chafdha, Tireuk Raina, Sheeshir Sharma and Lilate Dubey in the lead roles. Danish Renzu has directed and co-written the film with Neeran Eynger and Sunyana Kachro. The musical biopic is supported by Prime Video India and Excel Entertainment Presents, an Apple Tree Pictures and Renzu Films Productions.
