Actress Sonakshi Sinha recently married her long-time boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal at her Bandra home. Now, it appears that this stylish apartment is up for sale. This decision has surprised her fans, especially since Sonakshi’s wedding, including the main ceremonies, took place in the same apartment. This apartment was important to her as it was her first home after moving out of her parents’ house, where she lived with Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha.
The news of the apartment being available for sale came to light when a real estate Instagram account posted a video showing the property and its price. The post described the apartment as a luxurious sea-facing unit located in the prestigious 81 Aureate Building in Bandra Reclamation.
The listing states that the sprawling 4,200 sq ft sea-facing apartment, which was originally a 4 BHK, has been converted into a spacious 2 BHK with a deck. It is fully furnished and includes many modern amenities. The apartment is said to be worth Rs 25 crore. Sonakshi Sinha has ‘liked’ the post.
Many fans took to the comments section to wonder why the actress was selling the apartment. One comment read, “This is Sonakshi Sinha’s house… move out too soon.” Another read, “Why is Sonakshi Sinha selling her house? She bought it some time back.” “Isn’t this Sonakshi Sinha’s house? Saw it on YouTube,” wrote one, and another added, “Sonakshi Sinha selling her house?”
Sonakshi first mentioned buying this house in an Instagram post in May 2023. A few months later, she gave a tour of the property in a video featured by Architectural Digest India. Hindustan Times had earlier reported that Sonakshi bought this apartment in March 2020. In September 2023, she bought another apartment in the same building for Rs 11 crore.
In a video tour of the apartment, Sonakshi called it her “home away from home” as she was living with her parents Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha at the time. She also revealed in a recent promotional interview that when she was living with her parents, she used the apartment for her work meetings.
