Sonakshi Sinha will not convert to Islam after marriage: Zaheer Iqbal’s father
Zaheer Iqbal’s father gave information about his marriage with Sonakshi Sinha. He said that Sonakshi will not convert to Islam after marriage.

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are set to get married on June 23. The groom-to-be’s father, businessman-jeweller Iqbal Ratnasi, recently confirmed that Sonakshi will not convert to Islam. He also revealed that the couple will get married under the Special Marriage Act.
Zaheer Iqbal’s father told Free Press Journal, “It will neither have Hindu rituals nor Muslim rituals. It will be a civil marriage.” He also dismissed reports of Sonakshi converting to Islam and said, “She is not converting to Islam, and that is for sure. Their union is a union of hearts, and religion has no role to play in it. I believe in humanity. Hindus call God as Bhagwan and Muslims call him Allah. But at the end of the day, we are all human beings. My blessings are with Zaheer and Sonakshi.”
After their registered marriage, Sonakshi and Zaheer will host a wedding reception at Bastian in Mumbai. Sonakshi’s parents Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha will also attend the ceremony. Recently Shatrughan told that there was some tension before Sonakshi’s marriage, but now everything is fine.
Free Press Journal report also stated that Sonakshi and Zaheer’s marriage might take place at Zaheer’s residence in the presence of a registrar.
The couple’s pre-wedding rituals have already begun. Their mehendi ceremony took place in Mumbai on Friday, pictures of which were shared by their friends on social media. Before the wedding, Sonakshi and Zaheer’s families also gathered for dinner.
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal have been dating for the last seven years.
