Sonakshi Sinha was warmly welcomed into Zaheer Iqbal’s family on June 23. The actress cried with joy when Zaheer’s friend, celebrity interior designer Jannat Wasi Lokhandwala welcomed her into the family by putting a garland around her neck.

Sonakshi and Zaheer got married on June 23 at Sonakshi’s Bandra apartment, the same day they met seven years ago. The couple had a civil wedding followed by a grand reception at Bastian in Mumbai.
Later, the couple shared their wedding photos, in which they formalised their union. They wrote, “On this day, seven years ago (23.06.2017) we saw love in its purest form in each other’s eyes and decided to hold on. Today that love has carried us through all the challenges and victories to this moment where with the blessings of both our families and both our Gods we are now husband and wife. Here’s to love, hope and all the beautiful things with each other, from now till forever (sic).”
Their wedding ceremony, held at Bastian in the evening, was attended by Salman Khan, Aditi Rao Hydari, Siddharth, Rekha and others.
