Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday said that the National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts the NEET exam, will undertake total internal reforms to ensure zero-error exams in future. The minister, who was in an interview with Aaj Tak, also said that students who clear the exam on the basis of hard work and merit need not worry and addressing the concerns is the government’s first priority. “The NTA is an independent body, but that does not mean they work without any scrutiny. Some internal reforms are needed. The government is taking it seriously. A high-level expert panel will be formed and the structure, examination process and data security will be reviewed in detail to ensure zero-error exams,” the minister said. He, however, refused to react to the comments of opposition leaders and said he prefers to avoid politics at the moment and wants to focus on addressing the concerns of students.
