Sonakshi Sinha is enjoying one of the best years of her life, both personally and professionally. In 2024, the actress landed a career-defining role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi and married her love of seven years, Zaheer Iqbal. Recently, while speaking to India Today, Sonakshi spoke about her life after marriage and her thoughts about public scrutiny.

The Dabangg actress began by saying that Zaheer has added a lot of value to her life and that was one of the reasons she decided to marry him. Sonakshi said, “Zaheer is someone who has been a huge support system in my life during my ups and downs.” She added that Zaheer has kept her happy at home, which has a positive impact on her work as well.

Sinha said, “I would say everyone should get love like Zaheer in their life which helps them move forward. He is the reason I am moving forward in life.”

Sonakshi feels that all this is helping them grow and advance personally and professionally and the newlywed couple’s partnership is based on the same funda – supporting each other to move forward. The Double XL actress shared that she truly believes in disconnecting after work and not bringing that stress back home.

Admitting that she believes in work-life balance, Sonakshi said, “Being an actress is my job, but it’s not my entire life, and I want to keep it that way.”

Sonakshi Sinha’s thoughts on public scrutiny

When asked about this, 37-year-old Sonakshi said that she was well aware of this while deciding to become a public figure and she did it of her own free will. “I don’t know if I call it a sacrifice or not, because it just comes with the territory. But once you become an actor, you give up your privacy,” Sonakshi Sinha said.

She feels it is a bit intrusive, but she also understands the fact that people who like her want to know everything about her. “I feel it is a sacrifice to be constantly in the public eye,” she said.
