Ajay Devgan is set to return to the big screen with ‘Sardar 2’s son’ in his prestigious turban-clad avatar, officially titled ‘The Return of the Sardar’. The actor unveiled a new poster of the much awaited sequel on social media, announced that the film would hit theaters on 25 July 2025.
Sharing the poster, Ajay Devgan wrote, “Yeh family photo nahi yeh hone wale dhamaake ki warns #Sonofsardaar2 This 25 July in theaters! #Sardaarisback #SOS2. ,

Earlier, the actor shared Teaser poster with its specialty in a turbanWith caption, “Return of Sardar #SOS2 in theaters on 25 July. Mrinal Thakur, who played the role of a female lead in the film, also gave fans a glimpse from the set by posting a clapboard photo with the caption, “Scene 49 Shot 5 Tech 1 Action!”
Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, ‘son of Sardar 2’ is supported by Jio Studio, Devgan Films and T-Series. The film has promised a mixture of action, comedy and high-sparitted drama, which continues the story with the 2012 blockbuster ‘Son of Sardar’. The original film starred Ajay Devgan as Jassi and Sanjay Dutt as Bilu. In the sequel, Dutt returns as Don, while Sanjay Mishra initially joined the actors in one role for Vijay Raaz, replacing Ravi Kishan’s character from the first film.
At the box office, ‘Sardar 2’s son will face competition with’ Param Sundari ‘, starring Janhvi Kapoor and Siddharth Malhotra. Directed by Tushar Jalota and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Madock Films, ‘Param Belange’ is also set to release on 25 July and presents a north-south cross-cultural love story.
