Fans of Food Network’s The Pioneer Woman should know that Ree Drummond’s daughter Alex Drummond Scott is expecting her first child with her husband Mauricio Scott soon. A few days after the announcement, Alex shared a photo of her baby bump for the first time.
It hasn’t been an easy journey for the soon-to-be mother. Alex is the eldest of five children of television personality and famous cookbook author Drummond and she has been sharing regular updates about Alex’s pregnancy through her blog, The Pioneer Woman. Alex Drummond shares the first photo of her baby bump
Alex recently took a Q&A session on his Instagram story on July 10, in which he added a question box and told his followers and other netizens that they can ask him anything. A user asked him to show his belly and Alex did not disappoint.
She shared a mirror selfie in which she is wearing a black crop top and bicycle shorts with her baby bump peeking out. “I took this yesterday, my first official ‘bump’ pic lol! This is the first week I’ve actually noticed it,” she wrote alongside the picture. “Baby girl is the size of a 🍏”
Although this is the first time Alex has shared a picture of her baby bump, she has been constantly updating her followers about her pregnancy via Instagram and The Pioneer Woman blog. From revealing the baby’s gender to the symptoms and problems she faced during pregnancy, she has shared it all on her Instagram.
Alex Drummond felt nausea during her first trimester
In a series of Instagram videos, Alex explained how she had bouts of nausea that lasted all day. She claimed she didn’t think she would be able to get through it because she was so uncomfortable. “But here we are,” she said. She was having a hard time working and doing menial tasks. “I finally felt the desire and strength inside to do something. Mauricio and I went to the grocery store for the first time during pregnancy.”
She said she feels like a “new woman” as things have changed for the better in the past week. “I feel so much better,” she said. She is currently 15 weeks pregnant and in her second trimester. She added, “I think I’ve gotten to the point where I’m living my best second trimester life and am officially over the nausea.”
In another Instagram post on July 1, Alex and Mauricio revealed the sex of their baby with a little help from their pet dog George. George was given the task of eating half of a cupcake and telling its color and he had to eat two cupcakes, after which it was revealed that it was going to be a baby girl. George is going to be a big brother soon.
