Sivakarthikeyan tries to avoid Parasakthi-Jana Nayagan clash, says he was shocked
Sivakarthikeyan spoke about the release of Vijay’s Parasakthi with Jan Nayakan during Pongal and admitted that he was initially surprised by the clash. He said that discussions with Vijay’s team have led to mutual understanding.

Sivakarthikeyan said, “When both the films got lined up for Pongal, I was really shocked.” He said that he explored the possibility of transferring Parashakti once again. However, existing commitments to investors made the change impractical. He also revealed that it would be difficult to delay the film further in view of the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
Concerned about the possibilities of a clash, Sivakarthikeyan approached Vijay’s manager, Jagadish, to raise the issue. The actor recalled him saying, “You may not have any problem, but I will. Jana Nayakan is being promoted as Vijay sir’s last film. Please ask him once.”
Sivakarthikeyan revealed that Vijay’s reaction was reassuring. The star reportedly felt that the Pongal window was enough for both the films to co-exist at the box office and extended his best wishes to them. parashakti,
