Gukesh Domraju became a synonym across the world in no time as he broke existing records and achieved the title of the world’s youngest chess champion. The Chennai native recently had a fanboy moment after meeting his favorite actor, Sivakarthikeyan.
Their moment together became even more special when the South icon gave the chess grandmaster a thoughtful gift.
In several pictures of Gukesh and Sivakarthikeyan that have gone viral on social media, Gukesh can be seen flashing his biggest smile while meeting the star.
Furthermore, the Amaran actor had a special token of love and appreciation for Gukesh and gifted him a watch. He wrapped it around the chess champion’s hand, causing the champion to shed tears of joy.

Well, this is not the first time that well-known celebs from the South film industry have celebrated Gukesh’s victory on achieving such a high position in the field of chess, that too at such a young age.
Tollywood icons like Mahesh Babu put up a post on his Instagram stories on December 13, calling Gukesh no less than an inspiration to many and making the country proud at large.
The Mufasa star wrote, “Congratulations, Gukesh Dommaraju. Your hard work and dedication has created history and inspired countless young minds. This is a huge victory for India!”
Talking about Sivakarthikeyan, the actor has been at the forefront of news recently after his super hit performance in his last film Amaran directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy.
The film, which was a war drama biography, was based on the real life of martyr Major Mukund Varadarajan. Sai Pallavi played the lead female role with him in the film.
Moving forward, SK is currently working on his project SK25 directed by Sudha Kongara. The film stars Jayam Ravi, Sreeleela and Atharva in lead roles.
