Actor Ankit Sivach, who impressed fans with his role in ‘Kulla: The Legacy of the Risingghs’, recently shared his pride in playing the role of a soldier in Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming battle drama ‘120 Bahadur’. In a special interview with indiatoday.in, the actor expanded his role and how this ‘dream truth’ was for him to work on the project.
Talking about his role in the film, the actor admitted that he had revealed it and shared how it was deeply relevant in the present time, especially amid growing stress around India’s socio-political landscape.
“I am playing a soldier for the first time in my life and this is something I have dreamed. I have always praised films like ‘Seema’., And ‘Laxman’, so ‘is part of’ 120 brave, A dream sounds like coming true. This is not just a role, it is a spiritual journey. My deep respect and praise for the armed forces comes from my childhood, which grows in the merut cantonment. I first saw discipline and dedication with which our soldiers live. This experience has been with me, and perhaps, at some subconscious levels, I am revealing this moment throughout my life. ,
The actor said, “The fight holds a great importance in our history and was waiting for the story to be told and I am very happy that Excel Entertainment is doing this. Given the present times, the stories of our soldiers need to understand what is really for security and safety that we see in our country.”
The film stars Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, PVC, who led 120 soldiers of Charlie Company during the Battle of Rejang La in 1962.
Sharing the details about the film, Sivach said, “The story is absolutely factual. Of course, there are cinematic freedom, but the incident where our 120 soldiers fought about three to four thousand Chinese soldiers and they were able to survive and attacked them from a full attack and protected from them and protected our country, something that will be witnesses in the film.”
The actor also expressed pride in his brother, who is serving in the Indian Army. Siwach also thanked all the people fighting for the country.
