Sister Midnight: Radhika Apte’s new poster out, fans are reminiscent of taxi driver
The makers of the upcoming film Sister Midnight unveiled a complicated poster of actor Radhika Apte. Encouraged fans quickly referred to equality for the poster of the 1976 hit ‘Taxi Driver’.

The makers of Radhika Apte’s upcoming film ‘Sister Midnight’ unveiled a complicated poster of the actor on Instagram. And there is no need to say, fans were in a hurry to compare with the 1976 hit ‘taxi driver’. Directed by Karan Kandhari, the upcoming film was premiered in a fortnight by directors of Cannes.
The poster was released by the film’s official production house Magnolia Pictures. It shows that Apte is wrapped in a green and blue saree, which stands in an MOP with an MOP in her hand – a scene that draws clear similarities for the classic ‘taxi driver’. Read caption,
It further read, “May 16 (@Angelikafilmny), in Los Angeles 23 May (@nuarttheatre and @drafthousla) dramatically release in New York in New York, to follow (SIC) with additional cities.” The poster was designed by James Patterson.

Fans soon saw similarities and flooded the comment section with excited messages. “I saw the trailer and it would be an epic film (SIC),” one wrote, while another said, “Immediately reminded me of the taxi driver (1976) poster (SIC)”. A fan praised the poster and wrote, “This is one of the best posters I viewed by me. It is not related to the fact that the taxi driver is one of my favorite films (this) (SIC).”

‘Sister Midnight’ is a black comedy film, which discovers realism, flexibility and femininity. It is ready for premiere on May 16 in New York and on 23 May at Los Angeles, and additional dates will soon be revealed. The trailer of the film was released earlier this year.
In ‘Sister Midnight’, Radhika plays Uma, who is seen navigating through her own expectations, existing boredom and renowned neighbors. The film is set in Mumbai and Uma has discovered enthusiasm and meaning at new places, which defines the city – Marine Drive, Bandstand and Mumbai Local, others.
