Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgan’s latest release, Singham Again, recorded a decent second weekend at the Indian box office. The film is set to emerge as the highest grossing film of this popular director-actor duo.
Singham Again earns Rs 14.25 crore on tenth day; Around Rs 200 crore in India
After earning an impressive Rs 158.75 crore in its opening week, the Ajay Devgan starrer collected around Rs 35 crore in its second weekend. The film entered the second weekend earning Rs 8 crore on the second Friday, followed by a notable increase of 50% on the second Saturday. It collected Rs 12 crore nett on the 9th day and recorded a minimum growth of around 15% on the next day. As per estimates, Singham Again earned Rs 14.50 crore from Rs 14 crore on its second Sunday.
The total earning of Singham Again currently stands at Rs 193 crore at the Indian box office. The police film is all set to cross Sooryavanshi’s lifetime Indian nett collection tomorrow and touch the Rs 200 crore nett mark in a few days.
Singham will again emerge as Ajay-Rohit’s biggest grosser; Need to show strong hold over long periods of time
Ajay Devgan and Rohit Shetty have worked together in about 11 full feature films. His latest offering is poised to become his highest-grossing film till date, surpassing the lifetime collection of Golmaal Again. Let us tell you, the comedy film released in 2017 had earned approximately Rs 205 crore in its entire run in India and still holds the record of being Ajay-Rohit’s highest-grossing film together.
However, the Cop Universe film will have to deliver a strong performance in the coming days to end its entire run for a respectable total. As of now, Singham Again is eyeing around Rs 230 crore as its lifetime net collection in India. It’s a good score in a confrontational scenario against Bhool Bhulaiyaa, but it doesn’t fully justify the massive scale and star faces involved in the project.
